Yesterday was Rapper/Producer Kanye West's second presentation since debuting his self titled clothing line in 2011. The star studded show took place at La Halle Freyssinet, the same venue where fashion heavyweight Alber Elbaz celebrated his 10 year anniversary with the House of Lanvin days prior.
In the music world Kanye is at the top of his game. He successfully crossed over from being a hit making producer to a lucrative recording artist, and he paid his dues. I'm not sure why Ye's approach to fashion hasn't been as humble. To hold your second fashion show ever in the same venue as on of the most celebrated designers of today is a bit ambitious, considering the lone 20 looks that went down the runway. While this collection was a step up from last season, it seemed a bit contrived. Perhaps he should scale back and hone his skills, or "crawl for you ball" if you will. The clothes will thank him for it.
